Video Producer // Video Solutions Provider

I first got into video production in college. I was a business major and had just finished a slogging semester that included Accounting 1, so I knew I needed to get out of that major. I took a look at the school’s offerings and chose digital media (or “telecommunications” as it was called then). I thought it sounded at least interesting, and I’d done a minor video project for one of my business courses, but I had no idea that I’d flung open the doors to my future career and passion.

During my time in the Digital Media program at Lee University, $10 million was poured into a new Communication Arts building and equipment, I worked as a camera and editing lab student teacher, I got the opportunity to work on a faculty-directed and -produced short film, and I worked on the school’s Media Services team making videos for the whole campus. It was an incredible time of growth and learning.

I graduated after a short four and a half years (which included two summer semesters). I moved to Malaysia (long story) for a year and travelled around to Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand during that time. When we had secured a visa for my fiancée, I moved back to Cleveland, TN and began trying to make a living in the video world.

Since returning from Malaysia, I’ve driven for Uber (wouldn’t recommend), edited video for a TV company, worked as a digital media producer at a huge flooring company, and filmed dozens of automotive films, all while also working as a freelance videographer. I’ve gotten a wide range of experience, with multi-camera live music performances, corporate video, music videos, and wedding films all under my belt.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I’m excited for many more opportunities to make compelling video with amazing people.
